Why Regrip Your Golf Clubs???

Never thought about getting your clubs re-gripped?  Here’s why you should reconsider:

Grips are made of materials that age and wear as a function of time. Ozone, heat, dirt, and oils from your hands all age your grips and cause the natural degradation of the grip. The traction that a fresh grip provides lets you hold the club lightly without the subconscious fear of losing the club during your swing. This relaxed state promotes proper swing mechanics and wrist action. While a worn grip causes you to grasp the club tighter, causing arm and wrist tension that inhibits proper swing mechanics.

Golf Pride Has the Following Answers for you:

How often should I get my clubs regripped?

Golf Digest Takes "Fitness and Power" to New Level....

For those of you who read my blog on a regular basis you know I don’t have any time for people who don’t dress the part while playing golf.  You also are aware of the heated blog post I made about Paulina Gretzky last year…when she was on the cover of there annual fitness magazine.

This year Golf Digest has out done themselves.  Lexi Thompson appears on the cover of the May “Fitness and Power” issue wearing little more than a blue golf glove and black yoga pants. She’s covered on top with a towel that’s wrapped around her neck.
First off Lexi you look amazing and as the magazine says you are a statement of Fitness and Power.  However, having said that I have a problem with while Thompson is topless, the women who appeared on the cover before her — Wie, Gretzky and Sonders — each also showed some skin on the cover. While the men, outside of McIlroy, rarely show more than their forearms.  I’m just saying we have some extremely fit PGA studs on tour and all we see is their forearms not exactly fair…
At least this time they got a successful LPGA player for this Fitness and Power addition since Paulina is a model not a golfer.  Lexi is a 6 time LPGA champion and works hard on tour.  She tweeted out the cover last week with the #girlpower.  Your right that is a badass cover Lexi.
PGA teaching pro Chance Scheffing told CBS New York: 'I wasn’t sure if it was a Playboy ad, or if it was a Golf Digest ad.'

Golfer Morella Carta added: 'I just think that this is a detriment to women, because I’d like to be recognized by being a good golfer; not about how my body looks like in the front page of a magazine. 'I think that if we allow this to happen, we will never get to the place where we should be.'

It’s a little more then what I think is appropriate but at least they have a 6 time LPGA champ on the cover!
